Invisibility

Keywords: INVISIBILITY, INVISIBLE
Category: magic:spell

This invisibility spell will make a person vanish from sight and undetectable from normal vision or even infravision. Although the target of this spell may not be visible, that doesn't mean that he is silenced or his movements can't be heard. Items dropped will suddenly become visible, and items picked up will appear to have vanished. Invisible characters will become visible once they are involved in combat, they will themselves to reappear, or the duration of the spell is over.

This spell may also be cast on an object to render it invisible.

If you are affected by this spell, you can choose to go visible with the
visible command.

The below RP-Combat information is a temporary fix until Sheylynn and/or Tirrian are able to update it, as needed. Please be aware that this information is subject to change at anytime.

RP-Combat Information:

Attack Syntax: 1d20 [Check for Critical Failure]
Damage: N/A
Damage Type: N/A
Duration: 3 rounds, view remarks.
Remarks: Creature is impossible to see without the aid of magic or a special sense.

Attacks against the creature have disadvantage, and creatures attacks have advantage.

The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.

When trying to use a means to
detect invisibility, please use the below system and roll against the invisible players Spell DC. Please note, this is the spell level, and can be used with a potion's spell level.

Spell Level: 1-25 = +0 modifier added to your Wisdom modifier
Spell Level: 26-45 = +1 modifier added to your Wisdom modifier
Spell Level: 46-70 = +2 modifier added to your Wisdom modifier
Spell Level: 71-85 = +3 modifier added to your Wisdom modifier
Spell Level: 86-100 = +4 modifier added to your Wisdom modifier

Example:
I quaff a potion of Detect Invisibility with a spell level of 40 or I cast the same spell at level 40. This would give +1 modifier on top of my normal Wisdom of +3, so I would roll a 1d20 +4 . If the invisible player is level 100, they have a <DC16>, so if my dice roll beats the DC of 16, then I can now see the player that is invisible.

For the purpose of
hiding, the creature is heavily obscured. Creatures location can be detected by noise or any tracks it leaves. If you are invisible-both unseen and unheard-when you make an attack, you give away your location when the attack hits or misses.
