Leveling, Experience and Growth

Keywords: EXPERIENCE, LEVELS, LV, XP
This MUD has Three Tiers of levels for players. Levels 1-100 are considered the Primary Class levels. Levels 101-200 are First Tier Remort levels. Finally 201-300 are Second Tier Remort Levels. Currently, Levels 1-200 are playable, with 201-300 following.

Your character advances through the levels and thus grows in power by gaining experience. You need a set amount of experience points for each level based on your race and creation points in the Primary level. This amount of experience is needed for levels and, when the character hits level 50-100, sublevels. The number of sublevels increases every 5 levels. After 101, there are no longer Sublevels, but the amount of experience needed between levels increases to compensate for this.

You gain experience by:
Being part of a group that kills a monster.
Your skills increasing through use.
Role-playing.
Moots, Bonuses and Events.

You lose experience by:
Fleeing from combat.
Recalling out of combat.
Being the target of certain spells.
Dying.

The experience you get from a kill depends on several things: how many players are in your group; your level versus the level of the monster; your alignment versus the monster's alignment; how many of this monster have been killed lately; and some random variation.
