The MUD Client Compression Protocol (MCCP) is a function that compresses/packs the data that is sent to you via connection while playing the game. It gives detailed information about how much is packed, which connection protocol it is, the compression rattio, and how much would initially go to a user's terminal if it were not packed. MCCP on1 or MCCP on2 are commands that force a particular protocol to go into effect. MCCP off turns off the client compression protocol entirely.
