When you have a moot called against you, you will be notified, and it will have upto 60 seconds to pass. Moots can be positive or negative, reflecting how much rpxp you will receive if the moot passes. Only the nobles will call moots against you, and only you and the online nobles will see that a moot has been called. Moots are called for several reasons, and are purely judgement call of the nobles. Even in a Global situation, with DM approval, a noble is permitted to moot other players.
Positive Moots for Recognition of Roleplay:
2,000 to 3,000 for great roleplaying.
3,000 to 4,000 for fantastic roleplaying.
4,000 to 5,000 for exceptional roleplaying.
Positive Moots for Well Written Histories:
2,000 to 3,000 for great histories.
3,000 to 4,000 for fantastic histories.
4,000 to 5,000 for exceptional histories.
Positive Moots for Contribution to the RP Environment and the MUD:
Largely, this type of moot is for a player that goes out of their way to help another player in some way, be it ICly or OOCly.
Examples:
Such things as helping other players ICly to figure things out, find things, understand something, etc.
Aiding in solving a riddle, a puzzle, a problem or issue.
A player showing another player, especially in the case of newbies, where to find something, or giving them a tour ICly even.
Aiding newbies in learning TG's code, or how the RP-combat system works, either by sparring to teach them hands on, or explaining it to them OOCly, or both.
Opening up and bringing new players into pre-existing RP in a meaningful way, be the RP small or large.
2,000 to 3,000 for great effort.
3,000 to 4,000 for fantastic effort.
4,000 to 5,000 for exceptional effort.
If a Noble spots a reason for a negative moot to be given, please discuss it amongst yourselves and with Imms with the ntalk commmand. An Imm will need to approve any negative moots. If it is something extensive and an immrequest is prefered to be sent, that is acceptable as well.
