The rawulves are a people abandoned by their creator and considered the "dog" of mortality. The rawulves history is buried and lost, but it's not forgotten. Passed down from generation to generation, rawulves believe they are the descendents of the great empire of Bauu. This empire was ruled by the family of Ohmset and it is believed the continent of Thathoth was controlled entirely by this empire many eons ago. Their creator blessed the first Ohmset and his people with diversity; over 300 different kinds of rawulves existed in the Bauu empire. Each rawulf pack had a representative serve in the congress of Bauu where matters were discussed in forum. While ferocity runs in the blood of all rawulves, their desire to know and learn knew no bounds. It is said the first ship was designed by rawulf engineers and the first navy of Tirradyn was constructed by rawulf generals. It is said the Ohmset clan sought to expand their reach beyond the lush and fertile Thathoth lands. They took residence and claimed property in Samadnar, in Elzeothis, and even in Ariandor.
The rawulves came in to contact with their mortal enemies, the mrem, in Azure. Wars began and were fought for many decades, but the mrem civilization repelled the invaders. The leader of the Ohmset clan met with the leader of the mrem clan. It was said an alliance was to be made. Tragedy had struck as the leader of the Ohmset clan was revealed to have murdered the mrem leader in a private meeting. The cat gods cursed the Ohmset clan and cursed the land of Thathoth with rot and death. Some would say the neverending swamps are the scar of the curse brought on by the cat gods.
When the time of the humans came, there was little strength left in the addled Bauu empire. The 300 clans dispersed throughout the realm looking for a new home for generations. Separated and without unity or language, infighting began. Ignorance lead to exploitation as other races, especially the humans, abused the descendents of the Bauu. History has buried the past of the Rawulf people, but remnants and fragments of that great time still live on in its children.
