Rawulves live with their tribe, or "pack." These packs consist of a large group of rawulfs, often lead by an alpha, followed by the pack's shaman or druid. While the alpha of a pack is always male, Rawulf females are able to fill any other role in their pack, including the positions of warriors. Due to the Rawulf focus on strength and combat skill, warriors are often higher up on the social ladder than simple workers or craftsmen. Rawulves tend to live in relatively cold, snowy areas, where their fur lets them survive where few others could.
Community means everything to a Rawulf, and one is always expected to fulfill his or her role for the better of the pack. The worst shame one can be given is to be cast out of the pack. Individuals who have been cast out usually try to search for a new purpose for their life, either a new pack to join or a new alpha to follow.
Rawulves are not the most skilled craftsmen in Tirradyn, but nevertheless possess adequate skills in leatherworking. They also produce their own weapons, preferring swords, axes, and spears, though not afraid to take up a crossbow should the need for ranged firepower arise. Rawulves, when they settle an area permanently, tend towards relatively crude huts, though still sturdy enough to last rough weather.
Often taking up the swords of mercenaries, Rawulves frequently train as warriors and scouts, where their natural build and speed lets them excel over smaller, slower races. Arcane magic is a subject of extreme superstition for most, but most packs contain a shaman or druid, for the practice of more natural magic is deemed acceptable, if uncommon.
Rawulfish mating practices tend to differ in specifics depending on the pack, some mating for life, others not.
