RECAP2-KASIM

Keywords: RECAP2-KASIM
Our heros made their way back into the market. In the stall where potions and scrolls were once sold they came across a large shrine where those who lived in the city were made to bring what was most precious to them, It was discovered that there is something whispering to them, attempting to force them into action. More runes were found here that belong to the doorway. On the back of shrine they believe is one of two keys, that triggering this key, and the one they believe is south, at the same time, should close the doorway. Doing so out of sequence however could prove disastrous.

More prophets on crosses were found, some brought down easier than others, each one had the mark of the winged snake on them, this mark was destroyed. Another primordial was saved, however it was very weak and a terrible sacrifice had to be made, Nightshade giving her life to save the spirit and the group. the group.

More prophet's have been taken from crosses and seeds planted within. Our group managed to rescue four more primordial's, Eneyla gaining water, Sachael gaining air, with Glaedr and Lomond gaining stone. The scorporianfolk were approached and negotiated within. Thankfully our heros where quite successful in convincing their leader to hear them out, and managed to get him to agree to talk to his people about joining their cause and fight with them against Kasim. Upon their return, should they see a red banner hanging from the barricade then they will know they will join them, white, will mean they want not part.

The tome of Kasim was somewhat interpreted, though only a single portion of it. Discovering that the original Sphinx was not only a temple, but a prison and home as well. From what the tome said, all the sphinx idols in the city feed what is within the original, while allowing what is within it to spread its influence in the area. The marks that have been found of the winged snake are also connected, helping to drain and feed what is within the temple as well.

A mine chute was discovered beneath some of the rubble of the temple remains. Within it another primordial was saved by Nefarium. Another however remains (should the player continue to take part in the rp before it's needed). It was discovered that a large dragon with acidic abilities had been chained within the temple, and judging by the evidence found, is the one that collapsed it. Bones found in the bottom of the mine shaft/chute appear to have been eaten by a dragon, and have an odd rune on them, believed to be from some sort of ritual.

The place where the scorpianfolk have made their own was returned to, a red banner was seen hanging from their barricades signifying that they will ally with our hero's when the time comes. Our hero's returned to the inn to discover that their unknown friend had returned. The symbol for Akahram and the hare was left next to the one left of Brumalwulf and the badger. The significance of the symbol of the hare as being that which is one living by their own wits, one who is receiving hidden teachings and messages perhaps intuitively, representing quick thinking and humility, even while moving through fear Inside things had been cleaned up, the plants and girls body tended to. Upon checking the shrine a poppy flower from Marenwae was left within the windowsill, it was taken and other things left from Marenwae to show they saw and understood the significance. The poppy flower is thought to mean remembrance, resurrection and eternal life and can only be found within Marenwae.

Once finished in the inn our hero's went to the northeastern road that leads to both the palace and the pyramid. A great wall of fire stretched across the road, from there, two fire primodials were saved, one by Ayawine, the other by Marilla/Pearl. A message was left for the groups secret friend, the carving of a Owl, Horse, Wolf and Deer was placed into the wall of the inn.

The message worked and brought their friend out of a hiding for a short time. A small young girl who called herself Sasha, though it is impossible to know what she looked like, being completely covered, other than her blue-grey eyes. She told them the girls name who has been kept frozen was her friend name Tauni It was learned that the Birch is indeed in the palace, and had been the one to ask that the poppy flower be left. She's also informed the group that once they begin their approach, to look for something that has been left in the sand, a rune or mark of some sort, that upon touching it will wake the 'power' as she called it within them. For those who were unable to 'steal the power' from 'Her' she gave large black pearls that she called Duskwalkers, these, once released, will be able to help in distracting what is unseen. She also asked that they help in the freeing of her 'friend' who is being held captive in the pyramid, and that if they can free him, then he will help them in exchange. Another primordial trying to sneak past the Palace unnoticed.

After much debate and deliberation, our heros managed to slip past the traps and unseen guards, what turned out to be a slew of slaughter wights. They now stand before the pyramid, which, much to their dismay but not to their surprise, is standing. Fully intact. Upon arriving at the entrance of the pyramid, a familiar puzzle box was seen floating a few feet from the door. The thick stone door was discovered to have elemental symbols carved upon, though there were a few that formed a line, and beneath them the very faint carving of a spiraling circle. One of each who bore the correct element placed their marked hand on the corresponding symbol, after the last hand was placed, the stone door was opened. It was thought that the puzzle box should be destroyed, neither arcane nor something of nature, but of the divine and not one of the divine of the current pantheon. However when Valafar attempted to smash it, it retaliated, draining a portion of his health.

Once inside the pyramid, the door closed, sealing our heros inside. Hieroglyphics found tell the story of how slaves built the pyramid, and of the death rites that were held inside. Though now it seems there is another purpose, the pyramid becoming a place of sacrifice to one with golden eyes. The murals are up to their old tricks, trying to coax those who look upon inside. Two pedestals were found that at one time appears to have held a statue on display. Runes and the winged snake symbol found upon them. One is believed to have something to do with the god of Time. Both were smashed, causing harm to the smasher and any who are around them.

The group continued to make their way through the pyramid, coming up a tome that at first glance, appeared to have the mark of Nature upon it, showing the symbol of a spiraling circle. However upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the circle coiled left, rather than right, and that the tome was made of human skin. The discovery was too late however, Seneca opened the book and began to examine its pages, unable to resist it's control he seized it, not allowing anyone near it. Lomond managed to pilfer it however, and like the puzzle box before, sending any sort of attack caused it to relate, draining Valak's health before it vanished.
