GS-GMOTE

Keywords: GS-GMOTE, GS_GMOTE, NOGSTARGET, GSOCIALS, CHANNEL-GLOBAL
Category: command
Syntax: gs <social> gs <social> <player> gs emote <text> gs pmote gs gmote gs <text> gs on gs off nogstarget GS stands for 'global social', which, as the name implies, is the ability to send socials to everyone on the mud. Global social isn't technically a channel, but it works like one for most intents and purposes. 'GS <social>' and 'GS <social> <player>' lets you use a social and target a player with that social. 'GS emote <text>' or just 'GS <text>' lets you send an emote globally. 'GS pmote <player> <text with @ being the target>' Example: GS pmote Payne blows a kiss at @. 'GS gmote <text with @player-name as target>' With GS gmote, you can target multiplayers in the same GS. Example: GS gmote winks at @payne then sticks her tongue out at @ashlie. You can turn GS on and off by typing 'gs on' and 'gs off', respectively. To make it so you can't be targeted with GS actions, you can type nogstarget. Keep in mind that GS can be rather ambiguous when it comes to IC or OOC. At times, events on the channel are IC, others they are OOC. It's best to use common sense and ask if there is doubt. Often, GS is used in conjuction with OOC or IC banter, or by doing an action that the entire mud would be able to notice. Most people do tend to consider it OOC, but it's always best to make sure.
