A profanity (or bad word, swear word, curse word, cuss word, dirty word, or collectively foul, bad or strong language) under current colloquial use is a word, expression, gesture, or other usage which is socially constructed as insulting, rude or vulgar. The extent to which a profanity is considered to be in some way disagreeable or objectionable depends on context, timing and
various other factors.
However, the use of certain profanities at certain times, especially in a public setting or during a solemn occasion, may always be considered inappropriate or in bad taste, if not outright abusive, obscene or offensive. At other times the use of certain profanities will be considered mild or acceptable, and may take less recognizable forms, such as a minced oath.
With that said, the words listed below, may not always be used as a profanity, but can be construed as such. Any word that one or more persons finds offensive, should not be used on OOC channel. The limitation of such words on public channels is for the players themselves. So long as one person finds it offensive, then we should be understanding and not use it.
Below are a few words that are considered offensive and should not be used on any channels, unless otherwise stated allowable in help channel-rules.
Though perhaps not mentioned below, any racial or sexual oriented slurs or comments are not allowed as well. We can't possibly list every single word for you that would be considered offensive. Also, some words may also be considered a normal word as well, thus the obve mentioned definition. When used in an offensive manner, is it then considered 'cussing'. Please use common sense and be curteous. That's all we ask.

Finally, if you are going to 'bleep' out a swear word, make sure to do so to the *entire* word. '****' or '*!$#' is correct. 'F***' or 'f*ck' are not, as we still see what you're saying. If any letters are still visible, it still counts as a swear.
