History of the Felindred:
Also known as Kindred Feline, Felindreds migrated from a far off land, just as the snow fae did. King Wynter, son of King Northen, helped the Felindred to build a village for themselves and they named it Wildreach. It is inside the border of Hope's Empire, just a few leagues south of Hope's Hamlet gate. The village is small, holding no more than 10 families, but the Felindred have no issue with this. They rarely visit the rest of Hope's Empire, but when they do, it's either for a ritual quest, or to buy supplies. The Felindred have been living in Wildreach for over a hundred years.

Felindred Creation and Physique:
It is believed that the Felindred were created by the snow goddess that both they, and the snow fae believe in. They are like the selkies, only instead of turning into seals, they turn into large house cats with very fluffy fur. The felindred is born as a kitten, then sheds its skin when it reaches the age of three years old. They live to be around seventy to a hundred and ten in human years of age. After they turn three, they may become human or cat at will, unless their cat skin is stolen. Their cat skins can range from ice blue, to white, to silver as well as all the other colors that might blend them into the snowy landscape. When human, they retain their cat eyes and some may have a bit of fur on human-shaped ears, as well as any tattoos or birth marks remain, but they will have no tails. The coloring of their skin can vary greatly so as to hide in whichever place they'd like to visit, though they have no ability to change their skin color.
They are born with the attributes they hold while in cat or human form. In cat form they can weigh up to forty-five pounds. Human forms can weight up to two hundred and thirty pounds. Just like other human forms they can be up to six feet in height.
OOC NOTE: Their cat form is about the size of a real life Maine Coon. A Felindred cannot shapeshift if they do not have and are not wearing their cat skin. Please craft an item for this as soon as possible. When in cat form, conceal your regular clothing and wear the cat skin. This can be done by typing conceal all, then by unconcealing the cat skin itself with conceal skin.

Felindred Culture:
The Felindred live in huts or homes built from blocks of ice and snow. They are a race which believes highly in rituals and they have their own ritual calendar. At sixteen, the Felindred must undertake a quest adapted to fit the training they have undergone so far. There is a large training hall in the village where the Felindred may learn which path to take. The shaman of the village consults with the family, as well as the Count, who leads the village. The Felindred teen has one year to complete the task and if not completed, they either return late and in shame, working the lowest jobs, or never return at all and become a Rogue. Rogues have been known to cause quite a stir.
As a reward for completing the task set before them, the Felindred will receive a tattoo of a pouncing cat, the men on the forearm and the women on the back. Felindred are more on the magical side with Druids, Mages and Clerics being highly prized. This does not detract from other classes however, because Monks are respected as almost as holy as Clerics (mostly for fighting with their hands and not weapons). Thieves are the least valued unless they are at war in which case they make for good spies. Rangers and Warriors are used as backup Guards for the town, Shaman, and Count.
The Felindred are also known as Kindred Feline and feel sorry for the Mrem who wander the land, as the Mrem will never know what it is to be a full cat.
