Druidess Ileleste and her brother, Ranger Hykyath, were given guardianship of a great forest upon Nersa, now known as Vandor Parlu. This gift came from the Old Gods, before the war. First impressions of the forest, leave one
admiring the lush surrounds, full of bounty and life of all things natural:
animals, trees of countless varieties, plants, herbs truffles, a constant source of free foods and bustling wilderness. The wise and kind druids of the Vandor Parlu watch over things and these are the descendants of the founding pair known as The Tyssir.
Totems stand throughout the land. They are typically inscribed, sometimes with many names or only one. While quite ancient, the totems look as though they were only just placed. Each one is perfectly pristine due to the ritual cleansing by The Tyssir. These totems are actually a part of the ancient C.H.E.S.S game. This lifesize chess board awaits the next living pieces. The focal point can be found in the northeastern corner from the entrance on Nersa, called the Cornerstone. The totems throughout the land are the former players of the games; sometimes a representation or even their tomb. There are some things related to the lands and the totems that are known only to The Tyssir. Still there is more beyond even their knowledge, as it was Gods that created the customs.
At the last game, only Gantar, Gisir, Greladir, Gakissra, Gava, Garbane, Gaylia were in attendance. Over the following years, more were added, as is their way. Before the next game, in eight hundred or so years, tradition will have taken a couple of the elders.
The Tyssir are well known for their incredible artwork- from paintings to stunning sculptures. Many seek these artistic masterpieces, but few receive them. The Tyssir are inclined to gift their work only to those they deem worthy, rather than create on demand, for profit or worse still, bragging rights.
The druids of The Tyssir are all related by blood, making them a large family. ONLY those of The Tyssir are permitted to live within Vandor Parlu. And they are the one and only authority regarding this vast forest and what lies or lives within.
