General Information
These are not gainable in the conventional ways, and may only be gained, and learned to higher levels through the use of your weapons. When your weapon skill, for instance sword, reaches the level of 85% learned, each time you use it you will have a chance at learning, for instance, sword specialization. Thereafter, use of your sword in combat will increase not only your sword skill, but your sword specialization as well.
The following weapons have the ability to be specialized in: Sword, Spear, Mace, Dagger, Staff, Axe, Flail, Polearm, Whip, and Sickle.
RP Combat Information:
A warrior skilled in specific weapons may use their extreme skill to be able to target attacks on a victim's weaknesses- be this armor, joints or weakness in the scales and hide of an enemy. By focusing an attack at these weak points, they are able to strike true at the expense of striking quickly.
Skill Type: Debuff
Attack Syntax: 1d20 + Wis versus DC8
Effect: AC drops by 1d6 for the player
Crit Strike Mod: x2 AC Drop
Duration: 1d4 rounds
Remarks: This takes an ACTION to activate. This AC reduction only applies to standard attack actions (not whirlwind or other skills). The victim does not get a save if the player manages to find their weakness. This is an ability of a skilled warrior to utilize their weapons to the greatest effect. Once this is effect, it lasts for 1d4 rounds before the victim can adjust. This is only effective for the player using the specialization and cannot be transfered to the party.
