Purple slimes live in dark places, such as caves or underground. They can even be found within the tunnels of the underdark and other such places.
Appearance: Purple color, usually darker shades.
Scent: Purple slime usually smells of fragrant mushrooms or cave mush.
Taste: Purple slimes usually taste of mushrooms.
Alignment: Purple Slimes gravitate towards neutral and while those found in the underdark tend to be more cruel and evil in nature as they take after the Drow that they have been observing.
Personality Quirks: They tend to be chaotic in nature, often playing pranks on travelers lost within cave networks.
Special Diet: While they are still omnivores they need the nutrients found within fungus and other underground plants to properly regenerate.
Advantages: Dark Vision, While no slime has eyes, purple slimes are more adept at navigating in total darkness.
Disadvantages: Hate bright light and often finds the sun to be annoying but tolerable
Breeding: Purple slimes can use the genetic material of certain cave dwelling species like minotaurs or drow to produce a new slime core.
Dormant Core Appearance: A purple pitted gem resembling an amethyst.
