Beastmaster [Subclass]

Keywords: BEASTMASTER, SUBCLASS-BEASTMASTER
Beastmasters are masters of the beast and creatures of the wild. They have an affinity for the wild creatures of the world, able to connect with them in a way similar to empathy. Beastmasters are able to communicate with animals and creatures, not in the way that they can have an actual conversation with one, but they are able to sense a creatures fear, intent, needs, and immediate thoughts, etc. They may also find they have kinship with more intelligent and sentient monsters who are more animalistic, from their general empathy with the creatures of nature. Beastmasters are able to have up to six companions that travel along with them. Should a companion die, a beastmaster is able revive them.

OOC Notes:
Beastmasters who abuse their pets by having the pet attack for them constantly to avoid damage or remain hidden, risk their pet turning on them, and losing the pet permanently.

If the beastmasters pet falls into the "out of the norm" category it must be preapproved by the Staff PRIOR to the rp to be used. Only preapproved pets may be revived using a crit check. Creatures that fall into the category of "out of the norm" can not be revived. "Out of the norm" is determined by Admin only.

RP Advantages and Skills:

Pets: [Automatic] Allowed to have pets engage in combat with them, up to DM's discretion as to how many, but no more than the allowance of 6 maximum pets. If the beastmaster is riding their pet, they are unable to use their pets attacks, but can use ranged attacks off the back of the mount. Ie: Bows

Animalistic Perception: [Automatic] A beastmaster's pet will also tell them when someone who is sneaking, hidden, or invisible walks into the room if the beastmasters pet has the ability to detect such things. If they currently have a pet, they have advantage on perception checks.

Greater Tame: [Automatic] Greater tame allows a beastmaster to possibly tame a mob that is not ordinally not tamable. As a passive ability, Beastmasters gain advantage on any check to domesticate or pacify a wild animal in rp-combat using their Charisma. (See Help Greater-Tame)

Eternal Bond: A beastmaster may resurrect one pet that passes away during Global or Combat. This take a lot of concentration and cannot be done during active combat. They may also try to resurrect another fallen animal in combat. This is up to the discretion of the DM and should be used for roleplay purposes. Beastmaster's who abuse their pets may have them turn on them or fail on the resurrection.
